We have a range of great opportunities to suit your skills, location, and availability. If you know anyone who might enjoy getting involved with volunteering at OpenSight, please invite them to contact us.

Below are descriptions of the volunteering opportunities available today.

Smart Tech Service Volunteer:

Do you use a smartphone, PC, tablet, or other smart device? Would you like to use your skills to make a real difference in someone’s life?

We’re looking for friendly and patient volunteers to support our Smart Tech Service across the county. In this role, you’ll work with service users and help them overcome accessibility challenges with their devices – whether that’s adjusting settings, learning new features, or building confidence with technology.

A few simple tweaks to settings is often all that is needed to open up digital horizons. You won’t be on your own – full training will be provided, and our Service team will support you every step of the way.

Social Club Leader:

We will soon be looking for Social Club Leaders in the following areas: New Milton, Stubbington, Locks Heath, and Andover.

If you feel you have the skills and would like to play a key role in supporting people socially, becoming a Club Leader is both a rewarding and meaningful opportunity. You may already be volunteering within these communities and be ready to take the next step in your volunteering journey. If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Volunteer Drivers:

We are also looking for Volunteer Drivers across the county to help vision impaired individuals get to social clubs, activities, and events. Even a few hours a month can make a huge impact! Please get in touch if you would like to find out more.
