Description
‘Support Aid Lanyard’  for anyone that would like to help get the message to the general public and to bring awareness to those that might not understand how difficult it can be during these times when you are visually impaired, severely sight impaired or blind.
The Government has now lifted restrictions in regards to Coronavirus, their advice has changed to, respect each other’s personal space, ‘Keep Safe, Leave Space.’ OpenSight Hampshire have adapted their support aid lanyards to reflect this message.
The message on lanyard can be:
- Option 1 – I’m Visually Impaired. Please help to respect my personal space
- Option 2- I’m Visually & Hearing Impaired. Please help to respect my personal space
- Option 3 – I’m Visually Impaired. Please be patient.
- Option 4 – I’m Visually & Hearing Impaired. Please be patient.
- Option 5 – I’m Visually Impaired. Please be supportive
- Option 6 – I’m Visually & Hearing Impaired. Please be supportive
Please note the same message is presented on both sides.
We are also able to customise each lanyard to show a message of your choice.
You can still choose the Social Distancing Support Aid Lanyard if you wish so.
Our Social Distancing ‘Support Aid Lanyards’ have a white Open Sight Hampshire lanyard ribbon that is clipped to a clear wallet (12cm by 9cm approx) about the size of 2 credit cards next to each other.
You will feel on the wallet hanging from the Open Sight Support Aid Lanyard that it has a Bump On.
The ‘Bump On’ indicates that this is the front of the wallet, the message on this side reads in black bold print:
I’m Visually Impaired
I cannot see
to social distance.
There is an eye symbol underneath the wording which has one side the of the eye striked out to indicate visual impairment.
On the other side of the wallet, the message reads in black bold print:
I’m Visually Impaired
Please tell me when
it’s my turn.
This side will be useful when you are in a queue, so that people serving can alert you when it’s your turn.
