At OpenSight our events are more than just a date on a calendar. They’re opportunities for connection, awareness and community spirit. That’s why we’re launching an exciting new initiative: the OpenSight event team.
We’re building a go-to group of friendly, reliable people we can call on when events pop up – whether it’s a small awareness stall or a big charity fundraiser. If you’ve got a little time and a lot of heart, we’d love to have you on board.
Who we’re looking for?
You don’t need lots of experience (though if you have it, great!). This is a perfect opportunity for:
- Students looking to gain real-world event or comms experience.
- Freelancers with a bit of flexibility between projects.
- Retired professionals who want to stay active and connected.
- Anyone who enjoys making a difference in their local community.
You’ll be helping with things like:
- Setting up and supporting events.
- Running fundraising or raffle stalls.
- Welcoming guests and engaging with the public.
- Promoting events on social media.
- …and more, depending on your skills and interests!
Where and when?
This is a flexible, zero pressure role – you’ll hear from us when an event is coming up and can simply say yes or no. No weekly commitments, just occasional opportunities to help out when it suits you.
