Independent Living Advisor and Project Support Intern
OpenSight is excited to be offering a new internship through the Get Set Progress programme, a national initiative run by Thomas Pocklington Trust (TPT) in partnership with RNIB. This internship is designed to support blind and partially sighted people into meaningful employment within the charity and sight loss sector.
If you’re looking to build valuable work experience, develop new skills, and make a real difference to the lives of others living with vision impairment, this could be the role for you.

I joined OpenSight in September 2022 after a career in education. Working for the charity gives me a real sense of purpose, knowing that the support we offer has such a positive impact on so many lives in Hampshire. Meeting and developing relationships with our families at the start of their sight loss journey is an honour. I relish being a small part of these personal experiences.
For my part, OpenSight offers me a supportive, flexible and fun environment where lifelong learning is encouraged; facilitating my own personal and professional growth.
