This award has been brought in by Chris Dixon, OpenSight’s Chief Executive Officer, to go to a volunteer in which has stood out to him. “The value of a volunteer is measured not in hours given, but in lives changed.”
We had the pleasure of presenting the CEO Volunteer Recognition Award to Grace Ballantyne. Grace has been an invaluable addition to the Fundraising Team as our event volunteer. Other than the fact that she is simply awesome, Grace has approached every opportunity with enthusiasm, positivity, and a genuine willingness to help. She has never shied away from anything we have thrown at her and consistently goes above and beyond to support the team.
Whether helping at events, engaging with attendees, setting up, packing down, or stepping in wherever needed, Grace brings energy, reliability, and kindness to everything she does. She is approachable, hardworking, and always willing to lend a hand, often anticipating what needs doing before being asked.
She makes people feel welcome, values, and included, and her contribution has had a genuine impact on both our events and the wider community.
We are incredibly lucky to have Grace as part of the team.
