The CEA Card is there for those who require a carer to support them when visiting the cinema. The card offers a free ticket to cardholders who require someone else with them for support whether they have a physical disability, sensory disability, or a hidden disability. You can use the card when you buy tickets on the day or when you book online. Â
Eligibility
To be eligible, you need to meet the following criteria:Â
- Be 5 years of age or olderÂ
- Have a need to be accompanied in cinemas due to the effects of your disability
Please notes that if you are under the age of 16, a parent or guardian must complete the application on your behalf.Â

In order to apply you will need:
- Proof of eligibilityÂ
- A photo of yourselfÂ
- A payment of £6.50

In order to be eligible, you need to provide evidence that the person receives one of the following:Â
- Disability Living Allowance
- Attendance AllowanceÂ
- Personal Independence AllowanceÂ
- Adult/ child Disability Payment (ADP/ CDP in Scotland)Â
- Pension Age Disability Benefit PADB
- Armed Forces Independence PaymentÂ
Or provide evidence that you are registered either severely sight impaired (SSI), or sight impaired (SI).Â
Where can you use it?Â
The CEA card is accepted at 90% of cinemas in the UK, including:
- Vue
- OdeonÂ
- CineworldÂ

Other discounts
If a cinema doesn’t use the access card or national disability card, they may still provide disability discounts or carer tickets. If you are going to a specific cinema, check their website or call them to enquire.Â
Some cinemas, such as Vue, will still allow you to purchase a free carer ticket if you provide other proof of disability, such as the disabled persons card. However, if you wish to purchase online, you will need the CEA Card.Â
