EligibilityÂ
You are eligible for blind persons tax allowance if all of the following apply to you:
- You are registered blind or severely sight impairedÂ
- You have a certificate that says you are blind or severely sight impaired (or a similar document from your doctor)

To claim, you will need to call HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) on the number below. They are open Monday to Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm (except on bank holidays).Â
