Attendance allowance is there to help with extra costs if you have a disability or health condition severe enough you require someone to look after you, it is for those who are state pension age or older, if you are under state pension age you may be eligible to receive Personal Independence Payment or Disability Living allowance.
Criteria
You will be eligible to apply for Attendance Allowance if you met all of the following criteria:
- You are of state pension age or above
- You have a disability or health condition, including sensory disabilities and mental health conditions
- Your disability or health condition is severe enough for you to need help caring for yourself or someone to supervise you for your own safety or someone else’s
- You have needed that help for at least 6 months
How much is it worth?
